Ark Avilon Zoo: too much for too little

Frankly, I find the P200-entrance fee quite a rip-off. The two-storey zoo houses only a little over a dozen varieties of animals. I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to see the Madagascar hissing cockroaches (Fear Factor’s favorite “delicacy”), which were supposed to be placed inside a cage that was open at the top. When I asked one of the zoo’s staff about the cockroaches, he said the cockroaches are just there, somewhere, probably hiding within the small deadwood. I was like, huh?! The Madagascar cockroaches are supposed to be large….or is that the only type I see from one of my favorite TV reality shows? Well, that’s one case of too much TV for me. But still! Hmp!

I give credit to the concept of the entire structure, though. It was conceptualized after Noah’s Ark, giving the place a nostalgic feel. Now, I’d like to see the Avilon Zoo in Montalban. Maybe that one’s a lot better…
